Noah Strong charity distributes bursaries to local graduates
The Noah Strong charity awarded $4,000 to five high school graduates.
The winners were selected by members of the school administration based on selected criteria.
Melody Ferris from Ecole secondaire publique Odyssee, Sheydon Beeson from St. Joseph Scollard Hall, Chloe Gravelle and Michael Travers from Ecole secondaire Catholique Algonquin, Brett Richardson from Chippewa Secondary School and Samuel Wylde from West Ferris Intermediate and Secondary School were this year’s winners.
The bursaries are in remembrance of 13-year-old Noah Dugas. The North Bay athlete, who also loved horses, waterskiing, dirt biking and fishing, died from an unexpected brain bleed on Nov. 13, 2020.
